19 of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hardcourt
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev secured his maiden title for over two years with success over opponent Moutet in the tournament title decider.
Medvedev, a former top-ranked player, has endured a challenging year, managing just one match at the Grand Slams and suffering a difficult moment at the US Open.
Medvedev's varied form on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serve in especial - caused him dropping out of the world's top 10 and finally separating with former mentor Cervara.
Currently working with Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually improved in the past month - culminating in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over challenger Moutet.
It is his maiden title following the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard court since that period of the previous year.
The win also means the Russian has won twenty-one titles at 21 distinct tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a competition with my children at once, so to get a trophy is particularly special," said tennis professional Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my child Victoria, because the initial championship I achieved when my child her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had lost his previous six championship matches, comprising in that event in the past months.
Medvedev's defensive strategy and regular outbursts on court had prompted some to doubt if his skill to play at the elite level was concluded.
But the athlete has made changes in the last few weeks, striving to approach the net and perform assertively, reinforced by an improved serve.
He came back from a break down in the first set against the challenging Frenchman, winning 4 of the final five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The competitors traded breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, bidding for his initial ATP Tour title, seized the initiative to push for a decider.
He rescued four early-game chances in a tight deciding set before Medvedev won the break to 15 to secure the win.
Fittingly, he clinched the win with a rally at the net, with Moutet failing to handle a shot after a lengthy match.
